Does this tool send my link anywhere?

No. The link never leaves this tab; parsing and cleaning happen entirely in your browser, in JavaScript.

What is a UTM parameter?

UTM parameters (like utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) are tags marketers add to a URL to track which channel and campaign a link came from.

What do parameters like fbclid or gclid do?

These are unique IDs that platforms like Facebook, Google, and TikTok generate to tie a single click to your identity. The link works fine without them; they exist only for ad measurement.

Will cleaning break the link?

This tool only removes known tracking parameters that are safe to drop. It never touches parameters the page actually needs to work.

Which tracking parameters does it remove?

Dozens of known trackers, including Google's click IDs (gclid, gclsrc, dclid, gbraid, wbraid, _ga, _gl, and similar), Meta/Instagram's IDs (fbclid, igshid, igsh, and similar), and every marketing tag carrying the utm_ prefix (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and similar).

How does the QR code feature work?

A QR code for the cleaned link is generated entirely client-side, in your browser; neither the link nor the QR code is ever sent to a server.
